Gunite pools are the most durable pool type available designed to last for decades with proper care.

3. Are You Properly Licensed and Insured?

  • Licenses: We are licensed in MD, DC, VA & PA
  • Insurance: We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. This protects your property and prevents financial responsibility if an accident occurs.

4. Can You Provide References?

5. What Is the Estimated Cost of the Pool?
The cost of a custom gunite pool varies based on size, design complexity, site conditions, and features such as spas, water features, and decking. Because every pool we build is custom, we first have a free on-site consultation. We then provide a detailed quote that includes costs for the pool and itemized pool decks, spas, water features, heaters, fencing, electrical, gas, etc.

7. What Is the Estimated Timeline for Completion?
Typical Timeframes: Many pool builders estimate 8–12 weeks for a standard swimming pool, but more complex designs or features like a spa or pool deck may extend this. Here at Paradise Pools, Inc., we pride ourselves on our efficient pool installation time of just 4-6 weeks after the permit is issued and construction is started on a standard swimming pool.

8. How Will You Communicate Project Updates?
We provide updates based on specific milestones. These are weekly updates for each phase of the project. Our supervisor or office staff will be in contact with you and are here to answer any questions you may have during your build.

9. What Warranties Do You Offer?
A strong pool warranty is essential to protect your investment after construction is complete.

Here at Paradise Pools, Inc., we offer lifetime pool shell and plumbing warranty,3-year coping and tile warranty and a manufacturer 3-year warranty on all pool equipment.

10. Which Suppliers and Subcontractors Do You Work With?

  • Reputable Suppliers: We use equipment made by our premier pool and spa equipment manufacturer, Pentair.
  • Qualified Installation Experts: Most of our work is done “ in house” such as excavation, plumbing, steel, coping, tile and decking. Electrical and gas connections are installed by licensed professionals. Gunite and plaster are completed by trusted specialists that follow our specifications and guidelines.

11. How Do You Handle Unexpected Issues?
Unexpected challenges, such as rock excavation or supplier delays, can arise during pool construction.

  • Our Contingency Plans: When dealing with problems like buried obstacles such as rock, we stop and assess the situation with the client and come up with the most time-efficient and cost-effective plan without delaying the construction process.
  • Materials: Material shortages are a common issue these days. For this reason, we order all material and equipment and store them in our warehouse until we are ready to start the project.

12. How long does it take to get a pool permit?
Most counties in our building area typically take 4-6 weeks to approve building permits. We provide detailed plans and information so that this process is approved in a timely manner.

13. Can Paradise Pools build pools in sloped or challenging yards?
Absolutely. With over 40 years of experience, our team specializes in complex projects including sloped properties, tight spaces, and unique site conditions using engineered solutions and custom design.

14. Do you offer pool renovations and remodeling?
Yes. In addition to new construction, Paradise Pools, Inc. provides gunite pool renovations, including resurfacing, tile and coping replacement, deck upgrades, equipment updates, and design enhancements.
