First things first — Hi! And welcome to Paradise Pools’ brand new website, and more specifically our blog! We’re excited to use this new platform to connect with you and to give you weekly advice, tips, tricks, and insights into beautifying your outdoor living space. We run the gamut when it comes to backyard design, from swimming pool construction, renovation, and design, to other parts of your yard like outdoor kitchens, patios, and fire pits.
We’ll save all of that good stuff for future blog posts though. We wanted to get started today by re-introducing ourselves, now that we have this new online presence and all. Hi, we’re Paradise Pools, and we’re here to turn your backyard into your own personal paradise.
Your Paradise Begins Here
A pool contractor is a pool contractor, and a backyard is a backyard. Nothing exciting, nothing special. Right? So very wrong. We are no ordinary pool contractor, and your backyard will be no ordinary backyard once we’re done with it. Think of Paradise Pools more like a full-service backyard design, pool installation, pool renovation, outdoor living, paradise building company, and you’ll be on the right track to understanding what we can do for you.
Our service area — Anne Arundel, Howard, Baltimore, and Montgomery Counties — is lucky enough to enjoy some of the most beautiful weather around. Just a bit inland from the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, not too far north, and not too far south, central Maryland gets the best of all seasons. Gorgeous, sunny summers to enjoy lazy days out by the pool, and winters that aren’t so cold that they be warmed up by some snuggling around the fire pit. There’s already so much greatness going on around you — all you need is a little bit more of it in your backyard. Let us tell you about what we can offer to help with that.
Paradise Pools Backyard Design
We may have “pools” in our name, but we’re so much more than that. “Paradise Pools and Patios and Outdoor Kitchens and Fire Pits and Waterslides and Waterfalls and Landscaping and Hardscaping and Awesome Fire Features” just didn’t have the same ring to it. And that’s only a fraction of what we can do, so you’ll have to understand our naming decision. Like we’ve mentioned already and will mention again, we think of ourselves as more of a backyard-paradise-building company than a pool company. We won’t throw a list of our services at you here — you can click around our menu bar to see everything — but know that no matter what it is that means “paradise” to you, we will work with you and try our hardest to make that happen.
In our minds, a pool is just one piece of a more cohesive backyard design. Sure, a pool alone (particularly a masterfully designed one) can do a lot to whisk you away to a tropical retreat. But we work by the philosophy, “the more the merrier.” Why not add a spa to warm up after a swim on a chilly spring evening? Why not add a patio, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen to truly build an outdoor living space that you can enjoy year-round? Why not add a waterfall or waterslide to recreate that resort-like feeling? And why not add an automated pool cover for when pool season is over but marshmallow-roasting season is still well underway?
Think about your favorite movie star. As talented and beautiful as that person may be, how excited would you be to go sit in a movie theater and watch only that person try to execute a movie, with no other actors whatsoever. It might be an interesting Indie film experiment, or it might be a bit of a snoozefest. Now think about adding a pool to your backyard. As fun and beautiful as it may be, it might feel like it’s just missing…something. Exactly like your favorite movie star needs a supporting cast to make Oscar-winning films, your pool needs a supporting cast to make a true paradise in your backyard.

While the “Paradise Pools” company has only been around since October, we’ve been honing our craft for much longer. For over 30 years our team has brought paradise to homeowners throughout central Maryland, specializing in building and renovating one-of-a-kind pools and designing gorgeous and functional outdoor living spaces. All this time in the industry has taught us quite a lot. We’ve learned what customers want, and we’ve delivered. We’ve learned the importance of maintaining open and honest communication throughout a project, and we’ve taken that strategy to heart. And perhaps most importantly, we’ve learned that there’s no greater feeling than seeing the look on our customers’ faces when they see our finished product, knowing that all that time, money, and hard work was well worth it.
